Prague Sightseeing Tour
Thanks to the slightly sloping route, you may take a convenient sightseeing tour around the historic Prague downtown. I will now describe the route to you, starting from our hostel.
There is a bus stop about 100 meters from the hostel. Take bus No. 217 and get off at the fourth stop, near the Strahov stadium. Pass the university dorms, enter the Petřín park and go to the Štefánik Observatory and the Petřín lookout tower (about 10 minutes’ walking distance). From there you may take a leisurely walk all the way to the Prague Castle, admiring the wonderful view of the city. Take a stroll around the historical buildings of Lesser Town (Malá Strana), through narrow streets lined with garden cafés, souvenir shops and restaurants, all the way to the river Vltava and the Lesser Town Square (Malostranské náměstí). Cross the legendary Charles Bridge (Karlův Most) and enter the historic downtown, or take the funicular or tram back to Petřín. Hardy sightseers or those who are only spending one day in Prague may proceed to the Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí), stop to admire the astrological clock and continue to Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí). More information on various sights and other opportunities may be found on our links.
